So these liquid lipsticks are packaged like a lipgloss, with a doe foot applicator, which is longer and skinnier compared to their matte lip cremes which is amazing for your cupids bow.
Formula: It has an almost mousse like consistency. Once you have applied your initial first coat I’d recommend leaving around 30 seconds to dry completely before applying a second coat. (I would personally recommend applying a second coat to make sure your lips have full coverage. There is a slight stickiness when pressing your lips together but its not too tacky. I’d recommend exfoliating and applying a moisturising balm prior as it does enhance if you have dry or chapped lips can can become a little flaky.
Overall Wear: I wouldn’t say its incredibly long lasting as a whole but god does it take some work to get it off. The only problems I would say let it down are that it does tend to wear and fade when eating or drinking leaving the look of only getting as far as applying lip liner and that it does leave your lips dry if you forget to moisturise. On the plus, there’s minimal transfer onto drinking glasses.
First applied (one coat)
Left 30 seconds to dry (one coat)
Overall: I’m not a big wearer of lipsticks as personally I don’t think they suit me or the shape of my lips, I’d always stick to picking up a “safe” colour from the MAC counter on an occasion but these liquid lipsticks have completely expanded my colour palette and I am now completely converted.
